Oatmeal has largely pushed out the Green Smoothie Bowl as my every-day breakfast – partly because it doesn’t require a blender, and also because it tastes good.
Creamy Microwave Oatmeal
Prep Time: 1 minute l Cook Time: 4 minutes l Servings: 1
Ingredients
- ½ cup Oats (I use old fashioned/rolled)
- ¼ cup Almond milk (or your preferred milk)
- ¼ cup Frozen berries
Toppings:
- 1 Tbsp. Almonds, slivered
- ½ Tbsp. Chocolate chips
- ½ Tbsp. Peanut butter
Instructions
- Pour the oats, milk, and berries into a microwave-safe bowl that is tall enough to prevent boiling over. Microwave for about 3½ – 4 minutes.
- Note: The length of time in the microwave will be much shorter if you’re not using frozen berries.
- Mix in your toppings and let sit for a couple of minutes, until cooled to your preferred temperature/consistency. Enjoy!
