I would say that I have eaten a green smoothie bowl for breakfast 80-90% of mornings for the past few years. I like the balance of earthy greens and subtly sweet fruit. I like the texture and crunch of the toppings. I like how quick and easy it is to make.
I hope that you’ll enjoy it, too!
Green Smoothie Bowl
Prep Time: 5 minutes  l  Cook Time: N/A  l  Servings: 1
Ingredients
Building Blocks:
- 1 cupÂ
- baby spinach/kale
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/4 cup milk of choice (I like almond milk)
- 1/4 cup old fashioned/rolled oats
- 1/8 cup fresh/frozen berries
- 1 Tbsp. nut butter
- A bit of ginger, grated
Suggested Toppings (pick and choose):
- Nuts (I like walnuts, cashews, or pecans)
- Chocolate chips
- Fresh berries/fruit
- Coconut flakes
- Ground flax seeds
Â
Instructions
- Add your building block ingredients and any additions to a blender. Blend until smooth.
- Pour into a bowl and add toppings. Enjoy!
Note:Â I prefer not to deal with the blender every day, so I like to multiply the ingredient quantities by 3-4 and store the extra servings in the refrigerator.
