Desserts, snacks, and drinks will be available. There will be more games and socializing, plus dancing.

Venue

Bethany Birches is a summer camp. Most of the reception will take place under a large, covered pavilion with indoor toilets, dining tables, and an area that will be used for a dance floor.

Outside the pavilion is a sloped lawn, a swimmable pond (with a water slide and kayaks/canoes), a rustic bath house, and the on-site sleeping options listed on the Extended Celebration page. The tap water comes from a well and is potable (tested quarterly).

Parking

If you are able to walk for about 500 feet (1/10 mile), partially on a slope, please park in the grassy field.

If you require a closer parking spot, there is limited availability in the lot next to the pavilion. You will still need to use a sloped path, or you can enter the back side of the building and go down the stairs.

Please keep the venue in mind so that you can fully enjoy any activities you may wish to participate in. Formal attire is not required/expected – think of what you would wear to any other indoor/outdoor event like a picnic or summer holiday party.

The weather around this time of year is typically pleasantly warm (65-75°F) during the afternoon and chilly (50-60°F) after the sun sets and into the morning.

Please be aware that there is no cell phone coverage here. There is high-speed Wi-Fi available for public use, plus a landline phone available inside the cabin if needed.

Gifts are not expected; just come celebrate with us! We’ve been living together since 2016 and we have everything we need to live comfortably.
