Wedding Details Email

We are just a few weeks out from the wedding celebration! To help increase excitement and decrease confusion, we’re here today with a breakdown of what to expect all weekend long.

As a reminder, you are encouraged to BYOB to supplement the limited selection of beer, wine, and other drinks that we will have on offer.

Friday, August 30

Off-Site Activities (sign up here)

  • Billings Farm Sunflower House (11 AM in Woodstock, VT)
    •  69 Old River Rd, Woodstock, VT
    • $19/adult; $16/senior 62+; $12/child 3-15
    • Snacks & ice cream available for purchase
    • Mikayla & Hans will be there from approximately 11 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Logistics are hard so we are no longer planning a hike. Sorry!

Please use this sheet to let us know your plans.

1 PM (and later) Arrive at Camp

We can access the venue beginning at 1 PM, although the duplex cabin may not be ready until 3 PM.

The address for Bethany Birches Camp is: 2610 Lynds Hill Rd, Plymouth, VT. If you’re around, we would love help setting up tables, chairs, etc. in the main pavilion space.

Please review the on-site sleeping assignments and tell us ASAP if anything has changed. There are still a few shelters available and there is plenty of space for tent camping.

6:30 PM Potluck Dinner (sign up here)

Please use this sheet to let us know what you plan to bring. If you do not wish to bring a dish to share, no worries – just bring your own food, instead.

8 PM Trivia/Movie Night

Evan Cuneo will be hosting a game of trivia in the pavilion for anyone who is interested. There will be questions about wedding history, Mikayla & Hans, and guests – plus prizes for the winners.

Alternatively, we will have a movie playing upstairs if you prefer.

Saturday, August 31

9 AM Yoga (sign up here)

Lucia Longnecker will lead a gentle vinyasa flow on Saturday morning. Bring your own mat (or leave a note if you’d like to borrow one).

Cyanotype (sign up here) – may move to Friday depending on weather

Penny Huynen will lead a cyanotype crafting activity on Saturday. This is a camera-less photographic printing technique that produces monochromatic, Prussian blue prints. Supplies will be provided.

4:30 PM Ceremony

It may be rainy on Saturday and it looks like the temperature will range from the high 50s to low 70s. The main event space is a covered pavilion but come prepared to have damp shoes, at least!

Some people have asked for more specific guidance for what to wear on Saturday afternoon/evening. We won’t be offended no matter what you choose, but here are some ideas:

5 PM Reception & Snacks

BYOB encouraged!

6 PM Dinner

Things will quiet down around 10 PM but everyone is welcome to stay overnight or as long as you want! Let us know if you are interested in staying on-site but didn’t indicate that when RSVPing – check here.

Sunday, September 1

12-1 PM Checkout

Those of us staying on-site Saturday night need to leave the camp by 1 PM on Sunday.

We do not currently have an off-site, afternoon activity planned – let us know if you have a suggestion.

Otherwise, some of you may be interested in checking out the Hall Art Foundation in Reading, VT (544 VT Route 106). They are only open on the weekend and offer $18 tours at 10 AM or $15 self-guided visits with entry times every hour from 11 AM – 3 PM.

Please do not bring glass bottles (except for large bottles you will pour from) as glass drinkware is not allowed on the lawn. Liquor is not allowed at the venue at all.

Song Requests

All of the weekend’s music will be brought to your via Spotify playlists, and we’d like play music that you want to hear! Please add to our Wedding Song Suggestions playlist.

Gifts

Gifts are not expected; just come celebrate with us! We’ve been living together since 2016 and we have everything we need to live comfortably.

If you still feel compelled to give something, we would be happy to earmark a cash gift for a future vacation, home project, or anything else you suggest. If writing a check, please address to “Mikayla Collins or Hans Weber” to help us have an easier time depositing it. If you truly enjoy gift-giving, we will appreciate anything that makes you think of us.

Want to Contribute More?

The following items are not necessary but would likely be used if brought:

  • A grill
  • Pickleball net
