Creamy Microwave Oatmeal

Oatmeal has largely pushed out the Green Smoothie Bowl as my every-day breakfast – partly because it doesn’t require a blender, and also because it tastes good.

Creamy Microwave Oatmeal

Prep Time: 1 minute    l    Cook Time: 4 minutes    l    Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Oats (I use old fashioned/rolled)
  • ¼ cup Almond milk (or your preferred milk)
  • ¼ cup Frozen berries
Toppings:
  • 1 Tbsp. Almonds, slivered
  • ½ Tbsp. Chocolate chips
  • ½ Tbsp. Peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Pour the oats, milk, and berries into a microwave-safe bowl that is tall enough to prevent boiling over. Microwave for about 3½ – 4 minutes.
    • Note: The length of time in the microwave will be much shorter if you’re not using frozen berries.
  2. Mix in your toppings and let sit for a couple of minutes, until cooled to your preferred temperature/consistency. Enjoy!
